Hello!

Hello!  

Welcome to my blog.  I am on a journey to re-find my health and as a result hope to impact the health of my family.  I will be writing a blog to document how we are doing and maybe help others along this journey.

I recently went to a new doctor who immediately said I had been on too many medicines and wanted to help me with inflammation of my system.  She has put me on a 10 day liver cleanse.  Today is Day 3.  So far I am 4 pounds down.  The shakes definitely have an acquired taste, but I can do this for 10 days.  Just by having additional fruits and vegetables we have noticed that our children (ages 9 and 7) have been choosing more of these items to pack in their lunch boxes.

Now normally, I would be fasting today because of Ash Wednesday - but I think I'd better stick to my doctor's plan.  Here's to a happy, healthy Lenten season.
